Ludlow High School

Ludlow, MA

The most decorated soccer program in Western Mass and the second most decorated in the state. Ludlow has won 11 boys state championships, behind only Bromfield's 13, and has reached 16 state finals, again second only to Bromfield. Titles span 1976 to 2018, including three in four years from 2008 to 2011.

West Springfield High School

West Springfield, MA

Five boys state titles across four decades, Division 1 in 1974, 1975 and 2013, then Division 2 in 2021 and again in 2025, the most recent state championship won by any Western Mass program. The girls program took the Division 1 state title in 2014.

Monson High School

Monson, MA

One of the state's strongest small-school programs. The boys won Division 3 in 1991 and back-to-back Division 4 titles in 2015 and 2016, both 1991 and 2016 finals settled in overtime. The girls won Division 4 in 2015 and Division 5 in 2023.

Belchertown High School

Belchertown, MA

Belchertown's boys beat Medway in overtime for the Division 3 state title twice, 2-1 in 2013 on Cameron Messier's goal and 1-0 in 2019 on Ethan Czaporowski's. The girls won the Division 2 state title in 2003.

Pope Francis Preparatory School

Springfield, MA

Successor to Cathedral High School, whose soccer programs were among the most successful in state history: four boys state titles (1972, 1987, 1990, 1993) from seven finals appearances, and girls state titles in 1993, 1998 and 2003. The 1987 boys final went five overtimes.

Hampshire Regional High School

Westhampton, MA

Division 2 state champions in 1975 and again in 2007, when Sam LaBonte's double-overtime goal beat Sharon 2-1 in the final.

South Hadley High School

South Hadley, MA

The boys won the 2022 Division 4 state title 5-0 over Blackstone Valley, with Charlie Anischik scoring three, one of only six hat-tricks ever recorded in a boys state final. The girls won Division 3 in 2019.

Monument Mountain Regional High School

Great Barrington, MA

Division 2 state champions in 1974, beating Duxbury 8-1 in a final that still holds a share of the record for most combined goals. Joe Kay scored three of them.

Mount Greylock Regional School

Williamstown, MA

State champions twice, Division 3 in 1995 and Division 2 in 2008, the most successful Berkshire County boys program of the modern era.

Chicopee High School

Chicopee, MA

Western Mass's original soccer power. Chicopee won four Division 1 state championships, 1969, 1970, 1973 and 1983, including back-to-back titles in the second and third years of the tournament's existence.
